![]() In this interview, Hagenbuch recounts behind-the-scenes work he and Ryan Petty did at the Tacoma-Pierce County Economic Development Board (EDB) to garner support for the establishment of a branch campus in Tacoma, including meeting with University of Washington president Bill Gerberding and Washington State University president Sam Smith. He now lives in the Pacific Palisades, California, where he remains active in the community, serving on multiple advisory boards. He is a graduate of Michigan State University he subsequently completed the Stanford University Executive Marketing Management program and the Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. A consultant and philanthropist, he has worked for decades in the securities industry with Merrill Lynch as an Institutional Consultant working with Fortune 100 companies, union, state, and municipal retirement funds and bank trust departments.
